For Rings
If you order a ring from us, we will send you a ring sizer free of charge, so that we can be assured we are working off the same measurements. You can also buy one from us and use it as many times as you like for yourself, friends and family. (Be aware that all jewellers have their own measuring techniques, so if you use someone else's measurements, we will be unable to alter the sizing if it is incorrect.)
The ring sizer works like a belt. Simply push the end through the buckle to form a ring shape. Slip the ring sizer on to your finger and adjust to give a comfortable fit, checking that it just slips back over the knuckle and let us know the size next to the arrow, or send us an image. Please make sure that you are happy that it is not going to slip off or that it won't be too tight. Also fingers change size according to temperature, time of day and work/hobby habits.
For Bracelets
Measurement should be where the bones are in your wrist. Also best to wear a bracelet on the opposite wrist to your watch if you still wear one. There are various ways of measuring your wrist. Same things apply to your wrist, as to your finger, time of day, temperature and work/hobby habit. If you open your hand your wrist will also expand!
For solid bracelets - measure your wrist with tape measure, piece of string or strip of paper, then close your hand with your thumb tucked in under your fingers to create a fist. Make sure the measurement moves freely over the fist and back again.
For chain bracelets - measure your wrist with tape measure, piece of string or strip of paper and we will deal with this measurement to ensure a comfortable fit. Normally we will add half an inch to your measurement. Please send us your measurement and we will do the rest.
For putting on a chain bracelet with one hand - this can take a while but hopefully this tip will speed it all up. Find a hair grip or paper clip (if it's not long enough open it up) and slip it through the end ring. Close your hand and hold it with your middle finger, wrap the bracelet around your wrist, open up and hold the lobster clasp open and grab the loop being held by the hair grip/paper clip with the lobster clasp and close. Slip the hair grip/paper clip out. Hope that helps!
